They have been for a while now. It's normally a good idea to check the site before posting here asking for an invite

We're growing with lots of new materials being uploaded every day. I'm excited about the changes that are being made and the way the site is shaping and evolving.

I tried joining occult.bz before and had to deal with the same "registrations are full message" back when they were only letting 8, 000 in. I don't want to have to wait for registrations to be open and as much as I hate asking, I have no other way to join the site quite obviously. x3

Hello again everyone :-) Just posting an update for you guys...we've been lingering right around our maximum number of open registrations (20,000 people) but that number fluctuates throughout the day so if you keep checking back on and off throughout the day there is a good chance that you may find it open for registration since people are regularly being banned or auto-pruned for various reasons, which in turn makes open spaces for new people to join.

BUT there is an even easier way for you to join if you don't want to go through all of that hassle of checking back time and time again hoping for an open spot. You can simply come visit us in our IRC room and ask for an invitation. Depending on our mood we may ask you a few questions or rough you up a bit...but it's all in good fun We'll always end up sending an invite out to you (unless you or someone with your e-mail or IP address already has an account or has been banned before, then we won't for what I assume you can figure out as obvious reasons).

There are two catches to this though, which I want to point out so I don't sound like I'm being deceitful or anything like that. The first is that you MUST stay there until someone helps you and sends you the invite. (Quite often people stop in the room and say they want an invite and give their e-mail address then leave right away. These people never get invites unless they stop back later and stay to talk to someone.) The second catch is that this is a limited time offer just like the open sign ups were. I'm not sure what the actual cut off point is, but I do know from the other T.bz trackers (our sister sites) that there comes a point when they stop giving out invitations over IRC. When we reach it I'll post here again to keep you all informed as well as letting you know what the best way to go about getting invites to the site is at that point in time (if there is any, one of our sister sites has been full beyond their invite level even for months now so the people who have invites can't even use them, they are temporarily disabled until people are pruned or disabled). So I suggest you make use of this while you still can.

Oh yeah, you are probably wondering what the IRC site and room is lol I almost forgot to tell you.

The reason that I gave you the one for the main room is because most of the time once you've gotten your invitation sent to you, you're told to leave the support room because it is our policy to not allow people to linger (be idle/away) or carry on normal conversation in the support room...it is just for support and we try to keep it to one person at a time for the user's privacy. In the event that there are multiple users in there we take the conversations to PM to protect their privacy because that is of utmost importance to us.

When you do sign up you will be asked to read several pages (the rules and faq pages, and a link off of the faq page that you should read is the ratio page) so I'll give you those links here now because you can access them even without an account and it will help you be a few steps ahead (and that way if they ask you anything about them when you're in the IRC asking for an invite you'll know the answers, or you can even tell them that you found out about the site from me on here and have already read the aforementioned pages):

Ok, that should answer most questions about how to get invites to the site for now since the open registrations have closed. I'm not going around posting this information everywhere, actually this is the only place I have (and the only place I'm planning to) post this information because it's not the sort of thing that the whole internet needs to know about. If they are members of this site or lurking here odds are they are involved with the occult or have some interest in it and would be a potentially good member of TheOccult.bz as well. :-)
